Artist's Description
Engine Room of the old Heinrichenburg Boat Lift structure (built in 1899). - As part of the Waltrop Lock Park (Schleusenpark) the Ship Elevator is a historical landmark in Germany and was an important structure on the Dortmund-Ems-Kanal without which it would not have been possible to navigate to Dortmund Port. It's a popolar destination for cyclists along the canals of the area.
